Camera club gets snap happy
Last month we welcomed a visit from a local camera club to take photographs depicting life on our site.
The club is an initiative of the YCSA (Youth Community Support Agency), a Glasgow-based charity that works with young people aged 10 to 25 years old from ethnic minority backgrounds across the city. Annually the YCSA provides support for more than 1,300 young people, with intensive support delivered to 400 young people and their families.
Six members of the club visited, led by their ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) tutor. The club provides a means of engaging young people for around six weeks in support of their ESOL learning.
Document controller Colin Begg lent his camera to the group – you can view some of their photographs on our timeline page. The images provided were just a few of a large batch of photos taken by the group both of the site and its surroundings.
We received a very complimentary email from the YCSA to say that all the group enjoyed the visit and we both hope to be able to maintain our connection with YCSA and provide an opportunity for a repeat visit in the future.
